    "The Power of Connection: Utilizing the Therapeutic Relationship as Part of Treatment and How this Can Positively Impact Your Work"

    Learn how leaning into our relationship with clients, using the skills of attunement and reflection, and noticing what we “bring to the table” can help therapists experience increased fulfillment, be more present in sessions, and help prevent burnout.

    We will meet over Zoom on Thrs, Dec 9 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. This is where we have an opportunity to hear from a great presenter, as well as have a few minutes for networking.  We are continuing to hold these meetings virtually for the time-being, but hope that in 2022 we can return to holding some in-person events. We have the Zoom link below, and it will just take a few moments for you to register. You are also welcome to invite a guest that is at least Master's level (or a grad student) in the mental health field. Just forward them the link for registration.  Certificates for those completing her one hour presentation will be emailed a CE certificate. 

    Alice Stricklin, LMFT will be presenting for us on: "Loss, Grief & Separation During the Holidays: Healing After Pandemic Loss" for one hour.  Alice is a therapist with a practice in nearby Lebanon, TN. She is well-known for providing EMDR, including training and consultation. She has over 15 years of experience as a trainer, and over a decade of experience providing supervision and consultation in the mental health field. Alice works with men, women, children, teens and families utilizing a system perspective.  Her focus has been centered around complex trauma, single incident trauma, childhood abuse, attachment wounds, and relationship dynamics. She utilizes several forms of therapy including play therapy. CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness and EMDR therapy.

    Mark Your Calendars!


    Lori Myers, LCSW, RPT-S will be presenting on Suicide Prevention for RCPA on Fri, June 25 over Zoom.  We will begin at 9:30 for networking and then begin taking attendance at 9:45. Lori will begin her presentation promptly at 10:00 a.m. and and at 12:00 p.m.  We will cont the meeting Zoom until 12:30 for any discussion/processing after her presentation. 


    This is NO CHARGE for RCPA members. RSVP will be sent out.  This will earn 2.0 CEs and fulfills the licensure requirements for suicide prevention training.
